Dear, Ipod Touch, you mean a lot to me. Without you I would be nothing. I love all of your qualities and how you make my life so much better. You bring me happiness and i never want to lose you. If I happen to lose you, I don't know what I will do.

You are like an alternative to a phone for me. You have music and you have the ability to text. I can also take pictures using you using front or back camera. I love taking lots of pictures, so you come in handy. I love capturing moments and you do that perfectly.

The images in my project are very helpful. They add entertainment to my project. It also gives a visual image of what I am trying to say. I used the image below to explain why you shouldn't use caps when writing. Using all caps means that you are yelling.

I think people act differently online than they do in school. Chances are if you are anonymous, you won't get caught. Many people think that once the get on the internet they don't have to use manners. Some think that cyber-bullying is acceptable online. I treat my online friends the same as my schools friends. It is not right to have manners in reality and no manners on the internet.

    Dear friend, you have a best friend that you have known forever. Therefore, you shouldn't betray her. If you really are a good friend, you should never think about hurting her feelings. If you do so, you will lose a best friend that you always had.
    I know that you want to be popular, but it doesn't have to be this way. Being popular isn't everything. When she gave you her password that shows that she can trust you and you won't share it with anyone. Hurting a friend is not a good way to become popular.
    Those popular girls only want Michele's password so they can send disgusting messages to boys in the school to make it seem like it is her. I bet if she was in your shoes, she wouldn't trade your password for popularity. Your friendship means more. The "beautiful people" are mean, so nobody really likes them. Really think hard before you make a big mistake. You shouldn't throw away your friendship.

Question of the Day: Do you think smaller is better when it comes to Tablet Computers?  List 3 advantages  and 3 disadvantages of smaller Tablets.  Then tell us if you would rather have a smaller or larger tablet?

I think smaller is better when it comes to tablet computers. One advantage is that it can fit in your hand. Another advantage is that it is small enough to take with you everywhere. Overall, it is easier to manage due to the reduction of the size. I would rather have a smaller tablet because it is easier to carry.

An avatar can help protect your privacy because it is not showing your true identity. An avatar doesn't look like you, therefore you are protected. No one will know how you really look if there is a picture of an avatar.

 I think everyone should know that the internet has certain rules that shouldn't be broken. Good manners are important online because if good manners are not portrayed; you may be blocked from certain sites. Also, people will delete you if you are on a social network, and people will look at you in a bad way.

Cyber bullying: You can't take it back

The moral of the story is that yo should never pt harmful things online even if you were just joking. You may be joking but at the same time, you may be hurting someone's feelings. The boy in the video could have made his friends reconsider their actions and get them to think about how it will affect the girls. He should've told them if they can't these things offline, it shouldn't be said online.

Cyber Bullying

1. What would you do if you witnessed a situation similar to this? Why?
2. How would you feel if someone did this to you?  Why?

1. If I witnessed a situation of cyber bullying, i would approach the bullies and tell them that they are wrong. I would ask them how would they feel if someone was bullying them.
2.  If someone was bullying me I would feel intimidated and I will go to an adult for help. Going to an adult can make the problem better. The bullies would have consequences to face.

What do you think teachers and schools can do to improve school culture and reduce bullying? What approaches do you think can be effective?       Every school should prevent bullying and people at home should prevent it as well. When bullying occurs, the child should immediately go to an adult or authority for help. Taking on the problem on your own can lead to dangerous outcomes. 

      I think laws like the one in New Jersey will help reduce instances of bullying. It will probably make bullies think twice about breaking the law because they can get caught. The teachers can monitor all their students and really make sure none of the kids are bullied. The approaches that are effective are having talks with the students to make sure that they are okay. I see this problem staying the same because there are bullies everywhere and little is being done to prevent it.

Why might it be tricky for people to recognize when they are being manipulated, especially online?

It might be tricky for people to recognize when they are being manipulated online because the person they are talking to are not honest about their age. They will pretend to be younger and a child would believe anything they see. The online predators tell you want you want to hear so you are willing to do anything for them. Such as, giving out your address.

If I was one of Lisa's online friends and i never met her face to face, and once I did I found out that she wasn't goth, I would think she is fake. I would tell her that she should be herself on and offline. If is not good to pose as someone else and in reality you are a totally different person. It is misleading to allow people to think that you are goth and you are not.

Sheyna's Situation

1. I met Nick at camp and we talk every evening. We communicate through IMs. 

2. Nick is older than me. He is about six years older than me.

3. Nick has never asked me to keep our relationship a secret.

4. Yes, I have felt uncomfortable when Nick asked me to send him pictures of me in my bikini.

  Grace's Situation

1. It does seem like Nick is manipulating Sheyna. He knows that she is young and naive and he is taking advantage.

2. This might be a sensitive issue for Sheyna because she doesn't know any better and she likes talking to him. She is not aware of the situation.

3. The advice that I would give to Sheyna would be the relationship wit Nick. She shouldn't be talking to older boys that she doesn't know really well.
